I’ve been an entrepreneur of some type going back to 8th grade. I’ve also been involved in Multi-Level Marketing of some type on and off for the last 20 years. With the advent of the internet, the whole world has opened to potential prospects. But, what I am finding is because of this trend, most people either do not have the social and people skills to effectively market, especially on the internet, and an ever growing presence of spam. The operative word is, “EFFECTIVELY”. Most really only throw up on you. And if you’ve gotten beyond that, many gurus teach people that if you build your own “Field of Dreams”, they will come. You will get 50-100 leads a day that are begging to join your opportunity. Frankly, it’s not going to happen for 99% of you. Lastly, even if you get past these hurdles, the bottom line is you are going to have to talk to people. You are going to have to get out of your home. You are going to have to know how to posture yourself, show confidence, show leadership, effectively move people through the sales process, and close.
So despite how you end up getting prospects, offline or on the internet, you are going to have to posses communication skills regarding how to deal with people. Here at the Home of Grassroots MLM, we will not pitch our company and anyone else pitching theirs will not be tolerated. I also encourage everyone to comment on their experiences.
